For a decade, Jon has constructed sculptural forms based lightly on his childhood building block sets. Using discarded milled lumber and found objects he creates building forms mined from several architectural periods. Grouped, they mimic miniature cities, island communities, and farm hamlets.

Jon B. Dove has lived in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle since 1961. The constant transformation of this community has fueled his interest in faded and lost environments. His compulsion for rendering imaginary buildings and collecting vintage and antique artifacts compliments his labors to preserve Jon’s three distinctive historical properties, while transforming the accompanying gardens into structured green spaces. Jon for the last 21+ years has produced the Georgetown Garden Walk, a free self-guided tour held on the second Sunday of July. The event showcases Georgetown’s art and gardens.
